Alvita worked as an administrative manager for 5 years with Vera Institute of Justice’s Center on Immigration and Justice, where she supported the center and the center leadership team. While providing budgeting and contracting support for the LOPC team, she realized that she wanted to pursue a career in finance. In 2021, she transferred to the finance department at Vera Institute of Justice to gain experience as a finance professional.  Alvita holds a BA from John Jay College of Criminal Justice and an MPA from Baruch College.
