Alyssa is a mixed methods researcher on the Unaccompanied Children Program who joined Acacia in December 2022. Prior to working at Acacia, she worked in roles on both the program administration team and the research team on the Unaccompanied Children Program at Vera, including on projects related to child detention and program evaluation. Alyssa holds BAs in international development and anthropology from the University of Maryland and a Master of Public Policy from Georgetown University. She is based in the DC area, and on weekends you might find her birding in her neighborhood.
