Aolani Contreras Sanchez

Program Associate

I’ve worked in nonprofit and government organizations that provide health and social services. Through this work, I’ve served the immigrant community by facilitating access to resources and services ranging from healthcare to legal concerns. Before joining Acacia, I worked with Instituto Familiar de la Raza (IFR), a nonprofit that promotes the well-being of the Latinx community in San Francisco. I was deployed to further IFR’s mission with the San Francisco Department of Public Health (SFDPH), when SFDPH contracted IFR to support COVID-19 containment efforts that ensured the Latinx community had equitable access to information. Prior to IFR, I was an associate analyst at the Superior Court of California, County of Alameda, and I also worked as a program coordinator for the Native American Health Center. I hold a BA in International Studies from Dominican University of California. I moved to Vacaville, CA last year, after spending 4 years living in Oakland. I enjoy hiking, reading, and a good film.
