Frances Dávila

Frances has worked in the non-profit sector fighting for immigrant rights for 15 years. She was an Immigrant Justice Corps Fellow at the Bronx Defenders where she represented detained individuals in removal proceedings. Afterward, she led the NYU Law Immigrant Defense Initiative before moving to her hometown of Los Angeles where she worked at CARECEN representing survivors of violence. Frances is a graduate of NYU School of Law and Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service. She was an NYU Latinx Rights Scholar, NYU Social Sector Leadership Diversity Fellow, and the Derrick Bell Scholar for Public Service. Frances is a recipient of the Equal Justice Works Public Interest Award, the Award for Clinical Service, and the 2020 NYU Law Rising Star Award.
