
Kimberly Ruesch
Senior Program Associate
Kimberly is the Senior Program Associate for NQRP and CCI on the Representation Program. She joined Acacia from National Immigrant Justice Center(NIJC) in Chicago, where she had a variety of roles over several years. She was a paralegal, a pro bono clinic coordinator, and most recently was the Immigration Resource Coordinator for NIJC’s Detention Project. As the Immigration Resource Coordinator, Kimberly led creative efforts to obtain vital social services for detained clients in the Midwest. She additionally worked as a grant writer, interpreter, and case manager at the Marjorie Kovler Center, a mental health center for refugee and immigrant torture survivors. Kimberly has a master’s degree in Refugee and Forced Migration Studies from DePaul University. Kimberly started her career in immigrant education in a public high school before moving to teach in Mexico, France, Spain and as a Fulbright Scholar in Colombia.
