Managing Director, Legal Access Programs

I am thrilled to be joining Acacia as the Managing Director for Legal Access Programs. I had the pleasure of working with many of you in my previous position supervising Public Counsel’s legal services to immigrant youth, and I am looking forward to getting to know you all more. In addition to my advocacy on behalf of children, I have also worked conducting legal orientation programs, providing direct representation to detained immigrants and representing survivors of human trafficking. As a direct services attorney, I particularly enjoyed taking on difficult cases, pursuing creative arguments for my clients, and accompanying them throughout the process of their cases. I am excited to support the great work Acacia is already doing, tackle challenging issues, and collaborate with you to improve access to meaningful due process and justice for immigrants. I received a B.A. in Sociology from Seattle Pacific University and a JD from USC Gould School of Law. I live in Los Angeles and spend my non-work time chasing after my two toddlers (ages 1 and 3), petting my cat (age 13), and running at a very slow pace around my neighborhood.
